Conference Resolution

 
Purpose:

The purpose of the Conference Resolution Committee is to prepare the traditional Conference Resolution which will be presented for adoption at the annual business meeting and published in the annual Section Directory.
 

Committee Membership:

The Conference Resolution Committee consists of approximately 5 members.  The chair should be a senior member in terms of committee service.

Functions:

The committee meets on the first day of the Annual Conference or earlier to draft the resolution which traditionally recognizes:

  • the Section Officers' service
  • the attending representative of the National AWWA
  • the outgoing Officers and Trustees
  • committee members' service
  • the efforts of the Local Arrangements Committee
  • the host community and facility
  • member achievements or honors
  • the program participants
  • deceased members
  • anything here unmentioned but deemed appropriate by the committee

During the course of the year, committee members accumulate information as may deserve mention or otherwise aid in preparation of the draft resolution.
