review criteria for eligibility and to submit names for consideration as
candidates. Records of previous committees also should be examined for
names of persons that may currently deserve consideration.
-
One or two persons
receive the award each year, however, no award need be given. The
committee should orient its selection to the basic criteria for the
award, which is outstanding personal service in the water supply
field. Such contributions may include, but not be limited to: safe
public health engineering practices, promotion of the water supply
industry and the advancement of sound water supplies.
-
All committee business
may be conducted by meetings, e-mail and/or telephone.
-
The name(s) of the
candidate(s) should be reported to the Secretary‑Treasurer not later
than 30 days prior to the Annual Conference to allow time for
certificate preparation and framing. The selections otherwise remain
confidential until the awards are announced at the Annual Conference
Awards Luncheon.
-
The committee chair
prepares suitable citation(s) to accompany the award(s) and also makes
clandestine arrangements to assure the presence of the awardee(s) at the
Awards Luncheon.
