Certified drinking water operators may receive up to 0.9 CECs in the “Technical” category for attending this seminar by attending both days of the Institute.

Register Early and Save!

  • Water operators - registrations received by April 6, 2018 will receive a discounted rate of $115 for MI-AWWA Section members / $165 for non-members. The price goes up for registration received after the date will be based on availability, $150 for MI-AWWA Section members and $200 for non-members.
  • Vendors, Engineers and Consultants - a limited number of exhibit tables are available for you to showcase products which would benefit the attendees.  One table per organization is allowed.
    • Registration is $175 for MI-AWWA Section members and $220 for non-members if received by April 6, 2018.  The price goes up for registrations received after the date and will be based on availability, $210 for members and $255 for non-members.

 

BEST TASTING WATER IN MICHIGAN - Attendees are encouraged to participate in "Best Tasting Water in Michigan" competition by bringing a one-quart, clean, clear glass mason jar of drinking water.

Samples must be taken after treatment and be at room temperature before judging. Regional winners will be eligible to compete at Michigan Section 80th Annual Conference and Exhibits, MI-ACE 2018 in Kalamazoo, September 11 - 14. 

Accommodations: A limited number of rooms are available at the Island Resort and Casino.  For reservations, please call the hotel at 800-682-6040.  Discounted room rate of $85.50 per night is available for a standard room (single or double occupancy).   Please request the Michigan Section - American Water Works Association (Block number 12T2AP) for rate at the time of booking .  Discounted room prices are available until the room block is filled, or March 26, whichever comes first.  Afterwards, room prices will be based on availability.
