2017 Plankton and Algae Short Course

Registration is closed. Class is full. The Plankton-Algae Course will focus on finding solutions to drinking water problems caused by Algae, from taste and odor to clogging filters in water treatment, to harmful algal blooms. These new challenges necessitate an increased awareness, knowledge, and understanding by water professionals in dealing with problems caused by algae. The three day course will provide the tools necessary for identification, forecasting, treatment and prevention.

MI-AWWA 2017 Plankton-Algae Short Course

The Plankton-Algae Course will focus on finding solutions to drinking water problems caused by Algae, from taste and odor to clogging filters in water treatment, to harmful algal blooms. Dates:  Tuesday, August 1 through Thursday, August 3, 2017

Place: Annis Water Resources Institute (AWRI), Muskegon, MI

Cost: $360 members / $450 Non Members

Registration includes course materials and lunch each day.  Accommodations are not included in the registration fees.

This course is limited to 15 participants. 

Students are encouraged to bring a water sample and a lap top computer.
