Tom Bulten

Tom Bulten is a project engineer for the City of Grand Rapids Water System and Environmental Services Department. He has an engineering degree (civil concentration) from Calvin University and a master’s degree in geography and urban studies from Michigan State University. Tom has eight years of experience in engineering and many years in the non-profit and international development sectors. At the City of Grand Rapids Tom reviews plans for additions and changes to the water and sanitary systems and looks for ways to improve efficiencies. He has been involved with the Lead Service Line Replacement program since 2019. Tom lives with his wife, Lisa, in Grand Rapids and enjoys exploring local parks and history.
