Position Responsibilities: 

Essential Job Functions: assessing and monitoring department operations; participating in regulatory compliance inspections; recording, reporting, and compiling data as required; assisting with the administration of the department budget; personnel management; and addressing complaints or other issues related to departmental policies and services.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: a high school diploma/GED supplemented by formal coursework in biology, engineering, or a field related to the work; and four (4) years of supervisory experience in municipal water and wastewater operations; Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience: prior experience planning, organizing and administering comprehensive water and wastewater services and programs. Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, and codes. State of Michigan Municipal Wastewater Operators License A or the ability to obtain licensure within one (1) year of employment.
