PUBLIC UTILITY OPERATOR


Position Responsibilities

This position will perform maintenance, repair and operation of water supply and distribution systems, and wastewater collection and treatment systems throughout Ottawa County.

The wage is based on experience and candidate must be willing to work overtime including weekends and some variable hours when needed.  This position will work out of the Grand Haven office with travel using company truck throughout the county.  Excellent benefits and growth opportunities.  The salary range starts at minimum of $27.30/hour but can start higher based on qualifications and experience.


Position Requirements

The candidate is to have two years of mechanic experience, preferably in water and wastewater systems; a high school graduate or equivalent with preference of some college coursework in chemistry, environmental science, engineering, or closely related courses.

Candidate must have possession of an S-4 Water Distribution System Operator’s License or the ability to obtain it within one year.
