The presentation will cover the origins of microplastics, their distribution and movement in different environmental settings, and their impacts on ecological systems and human health. It will also address strategies for pollution prevention and reduction. The session will present the latest scientific findings, review the current regulatory framework, and highlight innovative technologies developed to address this issue. Most importantly, it will offer practical strategies for the audience to engage in individual and community actions aimed at mitigating microplastic pollution.
