Michigan Field Day is a full-day, hands-on event where distribution system professionals rotate through live vendor-led demonstrations covering the equipment, materials, and repair methods they encounter in the field every day. Sessions have included HDPE fusing, valve and hydrant maintenance, tracer wire technique, pressure reducing valves, CIPP lining, and service line best practices, plus an EGLE regulatory update and a closing session on water main construction best practices. Walk away with practical skills and insights you can put to work immediately back at your system. |

The YP Summit is a two-day event created by young water professionals, for young water professionals, bringing together emerging leaders from across Michigan for a guided treatment plant tour, technical presentations, leadership development sessions, and structured networking with mentors, utility decision-makers, and peers. This unique event also includes a local tour, mixer, breakfast, and lunch, making it one of the most accessible and high-value events on the MI-AWWA calendar. Whether you’re exploring a career in water or stepping into your next chapter, this is your platform to connect, grow, and lead. |

Deep End |

Deep End is MI-AWWA’s flagship cohort-based development program for young water professionals, a nine-month experience that goes far beyond a single training day. Participants move through nine structured sessions covering technical water sector knowledge, professional skills, and leadership development, culminating in a capstone project that puts what they’ve learned into practice. Woven throughout the program is a mentorship component that pairs each cohort member with an experienced MI-AWWA member or industry veteran, creating a relationship, and a network, that extends well beyond the program itself. |
