Whether you're looking to share your expertise, build your professional network, or simply become more involved, joining a committee is one of the best ways to make an impact while learning more about the Association.

Committee service is often the first step in a volunteer's leadership journey. Members work together on projects, events, educational programs, publications, outreach efforts, and other initiatives that directly support the Michigan water community.

No prior volunteer experience is required, just a willingness to participate and contribute.

How Committees Fit Into MI-AWWA

MI-AWWA is organized to encourage collaboration while providing opportunities for members to grow as volunteers and leaders.

Committees focus on accomplishing the work of the Section. They develop programs, organize events, support members, and carry out projects that align with the Section's Strategic and Business Plans.

Each committee is supported by one of MI-AWWA's four Councils, which provide guidance, coordination, and strategic oversight.
