Professional Bio

"Bill has spent nearly all of his 30+ year career in the public works arena. Prior to arriving at Rochester Hills, Bill spent five years with the Great Lakes Water Authority. Prior to that he was with Waterford Township’s DPW for 20 years. The final five years as its Director. Bill is a professional engineer, a Raymond J. Faust Award winner, holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University and a master’s degree in engineering management from Oakland University. Bill is active within the water profession, having served many roles, including: o MI-AWWA Section Chair, GAC Chair, WUC Chair o AWWA Water Utility Council o AWWA Standards Council-WM Rehab Committee Bill lives in Lake Orion with his wife of 31 years, Dawn (the former First Lady of Water). They are empty-nesters whose twin sons graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Both sons are married and have kids of their own, making Bill a proud grandpa three times over. Bill and Dawn enjoy biking, traveling, but mostly spending time with family (especially the grandkids). Bill’s hobbies include golfing, cheering on the Detroit Lions, but mostly boating and fishing with his grandkids. "
