W.O.W. invites you to an engaging panel discussion featuring accomplished water professionals who will share their experiences, challenges, and successes in the industry.

Featured Panelists:

Barbara Marczak has her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan. Since joining Prein&Newhof, a civil and environmental consulting company, in 1987, she has worked on a variety of civil and environmental engineering projects involving municipal water supplies, treatment and distribution, as well as wastewater treatment facilities and remediation of environmental contamination. Barbara has served as the team leader of Prein&Newhof’s Muskegon office and on the company’s corporate Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. She has also served on several Michigan Section American Water Association (AWWA) committees, on the Board of Trustees, and as Section Chair.  Barbara is a recipient of the George Warren Fuller Award in 2022 and the Raymond J. Faust Award in 2019.


Tiffany Monique Jones is the director of Human Resources and Organizational Development for the Detroit Water & Sewerage Department (DWSD) as of May 2025. With more than 25 years of experience, she is a seasoned professional in public relations, media relations, employee relations, crisis communications, event planning, and community outreach. Jones previously served as DWSD’s first director of Opportunity & Inclusion and as director of Public Affairs from 2018 to 2022. Before joining DWSD, she held leadership roles at the Detroit Regional Chamber, Lambert, Edwards & Associates, and the Detroit Medical Center, where she worked in various public relations positions, including press secretary. She holds a master’s degree in public relations from Ball State University and a bachelor’s degree in communications from North Carolina A&T State University. She is also a certified Human Resources Specialist with a certification from Michigan State University and holds an S-5 License as a Waterworks System Operator from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE).


Kieyona Bailey (pronounced Key-Yawn-a) is the Water Treatment Plant Manager for the Great Lakes Water Authority, bringing nearly 25 years of experience in the water sector. She previously served as Manager for the City of Detroit’s Maintenance and Repair Department. A proud graduate of Central Michigan University, Kieyona holds an S-1 Water Distribution and F-3 Water Treatment Certification for the State of Michigan. Beyond her professional achievements, she enjoys riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle and is an accomplished drummer—a fun fact that always surprises her audience.
