Michigan Cyber Command Center Cyber Situational Awareness MessageThe Michigan State Police, Michigan Cyber Command Center (MC3) issued a Cyber Situational Awareness Message late last week. The information linked in the message was previously sent out in March as well. A recent cyber-attack was directed at Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC devices and the MC3 recommended actions are provided in the message below. We are also aware of recent attempted and confirmed cyberattacks to municipal water/wastewater facilities in communities across the state in the last couple months. We acknowledge that critical infrastructure plays an important role in our communities, and protecting this infrastructure is of the utmost importance regardless of the cause. If you are or become aware of any victims of this or any other cyberattack, please notify the MC3 at MC3@michigan.gov and include contact information for the victim entity. Specific to this attack, the MC3 is interested in the following details, if available: available logs (network/firewall) for indicators of compromise (IOCs) and check available logs for suspicious traffic on the ports associated with OT devices, including 44818, 2222, 102, and 502, especially traffic originating from foreign hosting providers.
